TRYOUT  INFORMATION: 2026-2027

Requirements for Tryouts:

• Attend one of the mandatory informational meetings (1/21 or 1/29)
• Complete all necessary paperwork by Friday, February 20th
  • Current physical on RRISD Physical Form
  • Application Form on RRISD Cheer website
  • RRHS Campus Addendum Signature Page
  • Teacher Recs (minimum of 4)
• Be enrolled in RRISD by Monday, March 23rd
• Have a $0 balance owed to school. 

Tryout Clinics:

• Tuesday, March 24th- MANDATORY
  • 5-8PM
  • Westwood High School
• Wednesday, March 25th- MANDATORY
  • 4:45-6:15PM
  • RRHS 100 Gym
• Thursday, March 26th- Optional
  • 4:45-6:15PM
  • RRHS 100 Gym

Tryouts:

• Saturday, March 28th
  • Check in at 2:00PM
  • Westwood High School
  • CLOSED TRYOUTS- parents will need to drop their student off and leave; Athletic Trainers, and RRISD PD will be on site to assist with any emergency situations
  • Tryouts should end around 4:00PM, but could go longer. Students will not receive their phones until the entire campus tryout is complete. Parents will need to remain outside and wait for their student to come to them. 
• Uniform
  • Plain white shirt
  • Black shorts of appropriate length- no spandex
  • Neutral colored sports bra
  • Hair pulled back out of face
• Results
  • Results should be posted by Sunday, March 29th
