Tryout Forms & Information
I.STEP ONE: Attend one of the Mandatory Parent/Candidate Informational Meetings.
A.AT THE TRYOUT MEETING YOU SHOULD:
1.Get your manila folder with your tryout packet inside
2.Order your $10 tryout uniform (turn it at parent meeting)
•Make checks out to “RRHS Cheer 2192.03”. Checks must include driver’s license number.

II.STEP TWO: Turn in your completed & correct (see details below) tryout packet by the deadline.
A.Turn in to Coach Evans (you may slip it under the door of the cheer office) or Coach Oliver (room 131A).
B.Please paperclip the documents together in order. Place all the below documents in the manila envelope given to you at the tryout meeting. On the label of the manila folder, put the candidate’s: Last name, First Name.
1. Letter of Intent
2.Current Physical/Medical History Form– expires one year from last exam
3. Emergency Card
4.Student Extracurricular Code of Conduct Agreement
5.Rock Cheerleading & Escort Information Form
6.Student/Parent Rock Cheerleading Signature Form

III.STEP THREE: A grade & discipline screening will be conducted by the Coaches/Principal.
A.A failure of two (2) six-weeks or more will deem you ineligible to tryout.
B.The referral screening is outlined in the RRISD district handbook.
C.Candidates not eligible to tryout will be notified before the tryout clinic.

IV.        STEP FOUR: Attend at least 50% of the tryout clinic.
